ES PORTIXOL A very small and isolated beach surrounded by hills and pine woods. It is usually frequented only by fishermen with boat huts there. It is a place to be recommended for walking enthusiasts seeking far-away places and crystalline waters. To find it, start from the residential area of Isla Blanca and take a track towards the Penyal de s'Aguila. From a bend in this track, a path goes off to Es Portitxol, with a long, steep descent to the sea.
ES PAS DE S'ILLA This small beach joins the islet called S'Illa des Bosc situated by the port of Sant Miquel to the main island. The sea shore is of gravel and the water is very clean. There is a small beach bar, too. To get there go to the Port of Sant Miquel and follow the road towards the hotel Na Xamena. After about one kilometre, an unmade track to the right takes you to the island.
CALÓ DES MULTONS Next to Sant Miquel port, starting on the left of the beach, there is a track surrounded by pine woods that leads to this tiny beach of white sand that is visited only by people who know their whereabouts well. There is a small beach bar.
PORT DE SAN MIQUEL This beach has all the characteristics and services of an average-sized beach. It is ideal for families and the surroundings are rural, even though it is a tourist area. Most nautical sports are available as well as shops and good restaurants. There are pleasant drives and walks in the area.
CALA BENIRRÁS Benirràs is one of the mythical beaches of the island because the long-established drum festival was celebrated there, on the last full moon in August. It used to be a large gathering and the atmosphere was enhanced by the drumming, fire-light and torches. It has now been stopped, caught up in the recent prohibition of the many illegal open-air summer parties that were being held in special or protected spots all over the island. Cala Benirràs has a magical touch because in front of it there is the rocky island Cap Bernat, which has given rise to many legends. On an ordinary day there are all kinds of people there, although it retains traces of its hippy days. There are a few restaurants.
CALA XARRACA This beach is outstanding for its views. It is especially recommended for those fond of tranquillity, even though the beach has all kind of services and even a restaurant.
S'ILLOT DES RENCLÍ A privileged little beach of transparent waters where you will enjoy the great pleasure of a peaceful hidden spot. In the midst of this natural scenery there is a restaurant that serves typical Ibicencan food.

PLAYAS DE PORTINATX. The name Portinatx des Rei (The King's Portinatx) has its origins in 1929, when King Alfonso XIII disembarked on this beach during a naval exercise. The quiet waters make it a perfect place to anchor ships. In Portinatx there are all kinds of aquatic sports available because it is a busy family tourist area. Portinatx has two beaches in the same area, s'Arenal Petit and s'Arenal Gros (small and big) that also offer a wide range of services. At the end of the road we find the port, another sandy place, good for swimming.
CALÓ D'EN SERRA A small beach with fishing huts in picturesque scenery. Not many tourists find it. There is a beach bar. If you swim around the rocks you will discover an even smaller beach next to it. Leaving Portinatx, heading towards Sant Joan, you will find a turn to the left that goes to the beach.
PORT DE SES CALETES This is an exclusive place used by the families who own the boat-houses. The beach and sea bed are rocky, but it may well become your favourite beach if you are looking for out-of-the-way places. The road to the beach starts from Es Pla de Ses Formigues.
PLATJA ALLÀ DINS At the bottom of the cliff of Punta Grossa, this beach is difficult to reach. Divers are attracted by the rocky bottom and the natural caverns. Sea trips are organised from Cala Sant Vicent, and Platja allà Dins is one of the destinations.
CALA DE SANT VICENT Beautiful beach of turquoise waters situated in an ample bay that is visited by lots of tourists. Ideal for holidays with the family, with all kind of services available.
